PAIN MANAGEMENT PROCEDURES AND TREATMENT

Doctors who manage pain and treat pain are frequently anesthesiologists. Anesthesiologists are doctors of medicine (M.D.) or osteopathy (D.O.) who make certain that you are safe, pain-free and comfortable during and following invasive and non-invasive pain surgery.

A limited list of the procedures performed at the Pain Management Center at Dr. Ruiz office are listed to the left side of our website pages.

Many treatments are available and vary from person to person depending on the diagnosis. Treatments include one or a combination of medicines, therapies and procedures.

Your condition may be treatable with various prescription drugs. If prescription drugs do not alleviate your symptoms then the most popular pain management and pain treatments procedures are listed below.

Please feel free to contact us should you have any questions about your condition or curious about our pain management treatments we offer.

TREATMENT FOR MANAGING PAIN

Medications

 ˇ Anti-inflammatory
 ˇ Muscle relaxants
 ˇ Anti-Depressants
 ˇ Anti-Seizure
 ˇ Opiates (oral/direst spinal)

Prescription medication alone may not be enough to manage certain kinds of pain and some medicines are more effective in fighting pain when they are combined with other methods of treatment.

In some cases, the patient's pain condition may respond to pain management treatment instead of medication. For many of our patients, certain therapies may eventually replace the need for taking any pain medicine, or less of it, over time.

Here are just some of the available treatments being used successfully to treat pain patients.

INJECTION TREATMENTS

Range from a single injection of local anesthetics & Cortisone to X-ray guided spinal blocks.
